As it stands, the only cartoon box sets I have brought were ones related to my game collection, the Megaman cartoons and Sonic cartoons, the former I had since the boxes were released as a Christmas present, (and, have watched... as painful as half the series is, I have watched the lot.), the latter were brought on impulse... and I haven't watched. I'd rather keep my fond memories of Satam and AoSTH, thanks.
In the process of coverting my room into the new study/games area, (i.e cleaning up, getting rid of furniture, etc) I found a dvd I wasn't even aware I'd brought. If I did buy it. No idea where it's from.
Specifically, it stars this guy:

Dogtanian!
For a laugh, I stuck it on, my memories of this being completely vague. I think it was one of many cartoons taped off TV by my parents, which is pretty much my only memory of it.
I, was impressed.
Granted, the theme music alone is enough to put you off, (irritating
is an understatement.) but the actual cartoon itself?
It's a nice rendition of the The Three Musketeers novel, complete with drunk characters, deaths (huh!? The body count in the 5th episode is fairly high... and on screen. Bloodless, but on screen. And by cannon. Women and children. What.), religious themes...
Granted, this cartoon's older than I am, but I can't remember children's shows being like this... I couldn't see this cartoon being released now.
The DVD I found had the first five episodes...
So... i've brought the box set. I honestly want to know how the series continues. Granted I could just buy the book of D'Artagnan, but it's more fun with dogs killing each other with guns and swords.
... I hear pitchforks chattering and torches being lit. Is that normal?
Congrats, BRB Internacional, this is the second cartoon series I've become interested in this year. And the only one I've brought on impulse with the intention of watching.
The other one was Hokuto no Ken. And that doesn't have a complete Western box set released.. (I'll settle for the free ones online, thanks.)
Bit of a difference.
Also watched the
Running Man straight afterwards... it's cheesy, it's bloody, and it's Schwarzenegger. It deserved a good video game adaption, as the idea alone is gold.
Oh and hi.
